Hail Whales goes INTERNATIONAL

so I just checked hailwhales stats and am shocked to find a change in country distribution. rather than just 5 views from germany and the rest from America, we are in FIVE different countries. Thanks all you foreign whale fans!! the power of whales transcends all boundaries (even country boundaries!)

A drawer makeover: whale style

A few day ago I assembled these drawers for this cube shelf I purchased from ikea. They were great and functional but their handles were super boring and ugly. And guess what the universal cure for boringness and ugliness is?? WHALES. I made these whale drawer knobs/handles out of model magic, then painted them and hot glued them onto the old handles. Here's a before and after:

Pillow Pets!

With such a catchy jingle and so many animals to chose from, who wouldn't want a pillow pet? I also joined the craze when I recieved a dolphin pillow pet around christmas time. However, I later discovered in early spring that they created a new Orca pillow pet, which of course I had to get! Hence, I got a mini orca pillow pet so that my dolphin one would have a friend. Here is a picture of me with my two pillow pets (note how I carefully concealed my identity):

nothing like waking up to some calming whale noises!!

Okay so this is actually a MEGA post! It is both a video and a personal story (whoa, no way!)
So one time in English class we had a substitute teacher and my friends and I started looking up whale noises. I downloaded a set and started playing them right as the sub comes over to check on how far we have come on our essays. Of course I pull up my google doc and begin telling him what I've done so far RIGHT AS THE WHALE NOISES BEGIN PLAYING (quite loudly) IN THE BACKGROUND! Talk about an awkward moment! Anyway, I wanted to honor that moment with a video of some whale noises! How cute, right?

Whale Whale Whale

ok so the top three things voted for were whale jokes whale, whale comics, annnnd whale stories. So I figured I shall tell a tale:
A few weeks ago I was in a department store and heard this song with "whale whale whale" in the chorus. I became very excited about this whale song but when I looked it up I coundn't find the song. Finally, I realized the singer was actually singing "well well well" in a lispy weird accent. So here's the disappointing song:

My Beautiful Boots

Check out these awesome whale rain boots I recently acquired from target! Unfortunately it has been a few weeks since I got them but I haven't been able to wear them because it has been completely sunny here! My awesome luck causes me to lawlhale all the time!
